IT’S SUMMER VACATION!

Hey! So, I’m happy to announce, at 9:30am EST this morning, I officially became a Junior! I’m in 11th grade (technically- however, when I’m asked, it’s always “uhhhh, I was in 10th, and I’m going into my junior year…). The saddest part, though, is that Mr. Rose isn’t coming back next year 😥 I did get a picture with him, though:

Me And Mr. Rose

I also got to take a picture with another favorite teacher of all time: Ms. Picone!

Me And Ms. Picone

I’m so happy to be out, although that’s mostly because I’ll have more time to write- I really like school, actually. Anyways, you may see a dramatic increase in posts, or a decrease, too. I can’t tell the future! I’m going to try to post more, but I’m making no promises.

In other news, my Tigers won our first playoff game! And, on top of that, we had a shutout 6-0 against the A’s the previous game. That makes three games that we’ve won! Which, I know, isn’t really a lot, but we beat the best team in the league on Tuesday (the first playoff game)- the Pirates. And just look at the picture I got:

100_1233

See the white streak?

I literally took 281 pictures trying to get the ball in action (like the above picture). I only got it, like, five times, but that’s okay. I have some nice pictures now.

Anyways, I’m off to write. Or, rather, outline. Camp NaNoWriMo doesn’t start for another 11 days. Bye!

Let It Go: A Literal Trailer Made By Disney

Hey! My chem teacher brought up a hilarious point yesterday in class. Basically, he said “If you listen to the beginning of Let It Go, it sounds like one of Tobuscus’ Literal Trailers. Maybe when the Disney producers came up with the lyrics they were like ‘HA! Screw you! Try making a Literal Trailer out of THAT!'”

Elsa during the beginning of Let It Go

So, first, I’m going to say thank you to Mr. Rose for another priceless high school memory. But next, I’m going to say that, now that I think of it, he’s kinda right. Hear me out. First, watch this Literal Trailer of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The words / lyrics are below. I highly suggest watching it, or else you won’t understang the comparison. Now, here it is:

Introductory helicopter nature shot.
Bad guy at a safe distance
Second helicopter introductory nature shot
bad guy at an uncomfortably close distance (turn)

Careful Harry, he doesn’t have a nose.
Harry needs some sleep.
And he needs a nose.
And he needs some sleep.
And some new glasses.
And he needs a manicure.
Don’t sleep yet Harry, he’s gonna kill you LOOK OUT!

Spell, dodge, too many passengers,
dramatic turn,
how does that hold him up?
First time he touched a girl
Pan up pointy roof
Leaf bed look right
This movie is extremely important
Force field dissolves
Dramatically raise hand
That train is screwed
Slowly look left
This movie is the most important movie you will ever see
Back up in a library
Raise your hand and a wand
Dragon’s pissed, Weasley’s scared
Of a bunch of bad guys
but he acts brave while he runs.
You’ve gotta buy 2 tickets
Masked guy on a broom swerve
Run throw exploding
Running closer shot cast a spell
DUCK be careful with that stick too late.

Ok, time out. Oh thank god ok.
Catchin my breath. He’s grabbin his face, whatever. Ok go!

Dragon take off
People running
Downhill people running
Flex
Part 1 November walking
Chase that fire you wizards flying horse lizard
look out harry
Too late got him, help him Ron.

PART 2 July 2 BURNING
People Running backwards
Screaming
wave-hand upskirt
Windy
Kissing
Snape
cast spell
climb
look
blow up the town
Wizard lightning battle
Zoom huge shiny P
Then other letters come out.

Now, watch the movie where Let It Go is sung (the good version by Idina Menzel). The lyrics are also below. Pay attention from the beginning to 0:41 and 2:36 to 2:58. I’ve bolded them in the lyrics. Here:

The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen
A kingdom of isolation,
And it looks like I’m the queen.

The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn’t keep it in, heaven knows I tried

Don’t let them in, don’t let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know
Well, now they know

Let it go, let it go
Can’t hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door

I don’t care
What they’re going to say
Let the storm rage on,
The cold never bothered me anyway

It’s funny how some distance
Makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me
Can’t get to me at all

It’s time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me
I’m free

Let it go, let it go
I am one with the wind and sky
Let it go, let it go
You’ll never see me cry

Here I stand
And here I’ll stay
Let the storm rage on

My power flurries through the air into the ground
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I’m never going back,
The past is in the past

Let it go, let it go
And I’ll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone

Here I stand
In the light of day
Let the storm rage on,
The cold never bothered me anyway

Okay, do you see what I mean? Although it’s only small parts, ever since Mr. Rose told my class about the connection, that’s all I can think of. He said that whenever he hears the song that all he hears is the Literal Trailer, not Idina Menzel, at least not until those parts are over. I’m just saying, it’s a funny thought. And I do wonder how Tobuscus would do a Literal Trailer for those parts with totally different lyrics.

That being said, I still love Let It Go. It’s one of my two favorite songs, tied with Gone Gone Gone by Phillip Phillips. Anyways, that’s just something to think about.

I Have The Best Chemistry Teacher Ever

Hey! So, today started out… well, not good. There’s really no other way of saying it. I went into school struggling not to cry, and struggled to get through the day. Maddie and Christina knew that I had a rough morning, and they have Chem the period before me. Well, I came in the room while they were still there. They asked how I was doing, and I almost lost it. I was like, “not good” in a sad, almost-crying voice. Mr. Rose, my chemistry teacher, heard, and asked if I was okay. I shook my head no, because I knew if I talked I would start bawling. He said something really nice, and it made me feel better, and I was able to enjoy Chem. I had lunch next. I stayed in Mr. Rose’s classroom and just talked to him about everything that happened this morning, and he was really nice, caring, helpful, understanding, and just plain awesome about it. I love him. He’s seriously amazing. Alright, that’s it. I have to go do homework. Bye!

The Events That Unfolded At BCHS Today

Hey! So, guess what happened today? They found people smoking weed in the freaking boy’s bathroom!! Someone smelled something weird when they went in, and they found ashes on a toilet seat! They eventually figured out who the kid was when he walked into my English teacher’s class (I hear- everyone’s saying this is what happened, but who knows?). She asked him if he was high, and I assume she was kidding, but he giggled and answered yes. She then smelled him and he smelled like… well, like weed does when you smoke it. By the way, I don’t know if this is exactly what happened, because I heard this from other kids, but still. Anyways, there you have it, folks. Today in a nutshell. In other news, though, I’m understanding chemistry, thanks to my awesome, amazing chemistry teacher. Mr. Rose, you’re one of a kind (in a good way, don’t worry). Alright, that’s it. I’m going to go work on a cover for a new story that I’m writing. Bye!
